Cocaine is an anesthetic stimulant. We all know those mighty and sometimes embarrassing first ten to twenty minutes when everything we have to say is the most important thing, ever. That’s because cocaine creates an almost immediate sense of euphoria and confidence. As we re-up, over and over again, we can move along into distorted perception and lovely delusions of grandeur. Physically, there’s the increased heartbeat, telltale dilated pupils and achy jaw tension and grinding. High doses can cause can damage to the heart and blood vessels, causing strokes, aneurysms, and heart attacks.
